The Nikon D7200 original price in 2015 was $1,199.95 for just the camera body. It was $1,699.95 with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR kit lens.

The body is the same price as the Nikon D7100. The D7100 kit came with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 VR kit lens for $1,599.95, which was $100 less.

The Nikon D7500 that replaced it was $50 more expensive for the body. The kit lens was the same 18-140mm zoom and it was also $50 more expensive.

Those prices included a EN-EL15 battery and MH-25 charger.

An SD memory card for the Nikon D7200 was not included. A compatible one can be found for around $15.

How much is a Nikon D7200 worth?

Based on sold listings on eBay, a Nikon D7200 with the kit lens can be found for less than $450.

What is nice is how good of a value Nikon F-mount lenses currently are. There are great lenses for the Nikon D7200.

Price adjusted for inflation

Adjusting the Nikon D7200 for inflation, $1,199.95 in March of 2015 is equivalent to $1,650.62 in September of 2025.

The $1,699.95 is equivalent to $2,338.41.

That’s close to the cost of a Nikon Z6II with 24-70mm f4S lens costs.
