The Nikon D300 original price in 2007 was $1,799.95 for the body only. I could not find pricing, but it was sold with a kit lens, the Nikon AF Zoom Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR Lens.

Those prices included a battery and charger. A CompactFlash memory card for the Nikon D300 was not included. A compatible CF card can be found for around $20.

How much is a Nikon D300 worth?

Based on eBay sold listings, a Nikon D300 can be found for less than $150. At that price, it’s a good value.

Price adjusted for inflation

Adjusting the Nikon D300 for inflation, $1,799.95 in August of 2007 is equivalent to $$2,811.81 in September of 2025.

The D300 was an exciting camera because that is more than enough for a new Nikon Z6 III with a Nikon Z 24-70mm f4 zoom lens.
