Film Availability and Prices for 35mm, 120, and Sheet Film

Film Availability and Prices for 35mm, 120, and Sheet Film
Table of Contents

This is a work in progress. I have included the most popular film stocks.

That means the easiest to find and best value. That’s in part because Kodak is bottle necked in what they can manufacture.

There are several emulsions that can be out of stock and back ordered for months.

It has the look of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Instax Instant Film

Instax have been the most popular film cameras for more than a decade.

I’m a big fan of the digital hybrid cameras because of how quickly that can produce a print.

The purely instant Instax cameras are also lots of fun.

Instax Mini Film

Instax Mini Film
Instax Mini Film

Instax Mini film is my favorite because it’s the cheapest and the cameras are the easiest to carry around.

Single and double packs of 10 are easy to find in stores. Buying larger quantities online greatly reduces the cost per photo.

Instax Wide Film

Instax Wide Film
Instax Wide Film

I like Instax Wide prints more because of the larger size and landscape orientation.

They arne’t my favorite because of the price per print, which I why I use an Instax Link Wide printer.

Instax Square Film

Instax Square Film
Instax Square Film

Square film is the hardest to find.

I don’t like how it can be more expensive than the wide film, for a smaller print.
