The Nikon D3500 can use EN-EL14a and EN-EL14 batteries.

EN-EL14a batteries are charged with the Nikon MH-24. I would rather have a third party charger with USB-C.

The Nikon D3500 does not have a 3.5mm mic jack. There is no audio input for an external microphone.
