Best Canon PowerShot SD750 SD Memory Card

The Canon SD750 uses SD memory cards. The biggest capacity SD card that will work in the SD750 is 32GB.

MultiMediaCards (MMC) can also be used in the camera. However, they are no longer produced. If you have one, you can use it. If you don’t have one, don’t buy one, they will cost more than an SD card.

SD memory cards that meets the SDUC or SDXC requirements are not going to function correctly in the SD750. These cards are easy to avoid as they are 64GB or larger in size.

The SDHC format was announced in 2006. All 32GB cards that are currently being produced will have almost identical performance. You cannot go wrong buying the cheapest class 10 name brand card. At the time of writing this, the PNY Elite 32GB SD memory card has the best price.

Best SD Cards

Be sure to purchase a card from a manufacturer with a solid reputation, such as SanDisk or Lexar. Cut-rate third party brands need to be avoided.

Memory card problems, for example a complete loss of all your photos because of data corruption, is much more likely to happen with low-priced cards. A minimal difference in price is not worth the decrease in quality.

If you really need to save money, buy a card with a reduced capacity. They should be a tad more affordable and you won’t need to be concerned about the SD card losing your shots.

Understand that, SD card issues are very infrequent. Over the years, I have only experienced a couple of cards fail on me. Age could have added to the failure, as the SD cards were included with pre-owned DSLRs.

Canon SD750 SD Card Compatibility

The Canon SD750 is limited to using SD memory cards. There are currently four different technical specs of Secure Digital (SD) cards. The benefit is that there is an increase in the maximum storage capacity and transfer rates with the release of each updated technical spec.

Secure Digital memory card readers are backward compatible. A card reader built into a digital camera that can use SDXC cards will also be able to use SDHC and SD memory cards.

The card reader in the Canon SD750 can only read the first two SD card standards. SDXC or SDUC memory cards are not going to function correctly.

• Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) - The capacity of these memory cards range from 4GB to 32GB and are also compatible with the SD750.

Canon SD750 Memory Card Full Error

Attempting to use a card that is 64GB or larger in size in the SD750 will result in the digital point and shoot camera to show an error.

Get a memory card that has a storage capacity of 32GB or smaller to prevent the error.

If you have an SD memory card that is 32GB or a smaller capacity, and it is not working correctly, format the memory card while it is in the camera.

MultiMediaCard Compatibility

SanDisk and Siemens AG unveiled the MultiMediaCard specification in 1997. MMC cards are close in dimensions to an SD memory card, but they are slightly thinner.

MMC memory cards that will be able to function in the Canon SD750 include the first 2 versions. That consists of the 1st memory cards labled as MMC and the second gen MMCplus memory cards. Later generations are not going to function with the Canon SD750
