Best SD Cards
Memory cards have dropped in cost the time since the release of the Canon M6 MKII.
Due to the price range being cheap, it would not make financial sense to choose anything but a pro-level SD card.
SanDisk Extreme Pro, Lexar Professional, and PNY Elite Performance cards are excellent. I have not experienced unusable data or a card failure with any of those SD cards.
All the issues I have experienced has been when using no-name unbranded SD cards. Hoping to save around a buck isn’t worthwhile if your M6 MKII is likely to have trouble.
To save money, get a lower storage capacity SD card from a quality supplier. By doing this, you will know your photographs are secure on the memory card.

Canon M6 MKII SD Card Compatibility
The only memory cards compatible with the Canon M6 MKII are SDXC, SDHC, and SD. For best performance, ensure your camera is using the latest firmware.
The newest cards, SDUC (Secure Digital Ultra Capacity), aren’t able to be used in the M6 MKII.

Speed, Class, & UHS Ratings
Card Speed
The speed rating of an SD memory card is classified by the sequential read and write speeds of the card. The continuous write speed of a SD memory card is essential for clearing the camera buffer for continuous shooting and recording video.
A slow memory card can cause a reduction in the number of continuous photos the Canon M6 MKII can capture. This is because the buffer in the camera is not able to write to the card fast enough.
When shooting video, a slow card can cause a sudden end to the recording. The video file could also be corrupted. If you intend to shoot video, it is crucial the SD card you use meets the requirements of the M6 MKII.
Read speed is nice to have for file transfers to a computer. If you have cards that are full, a memory card with a fast transfer speed will reduce the transfer time.
Speed Class Rating
